Made from Pelican International’s exclusive RAM-X material, the Energy DLX features high-quality cushions and adjustable, reclining backrests; a three-branch canopy; bottle holders and a large, built-in cooler; anti-slip handles and pedals; a rear deck that seats three; and a storage compartment. In addition to pedals, the Energy has an electric motor with 30 pounds of thrust, five forward speeds, and two reverse speeds. This model is designed for use by up to five adults.
Most people find the Energy DLX to be a stable ride on flat waters, with the major complaints being its weight and lack of speed. Meant for play rather than work, some have used it for light towing, although this should be done with caution. The mooring covers and motor are less long-lived than the boat.
