The Alumacraft CO-17 Camper canoe is a specialty canoe that provides a little assistance to your paddling via its motor. This isn’t a great canoe for someone who enjoys longer paddling trips. The Alumacraft CO-17 Camper canoe is ideal for the occasional canoer who wishes for an easier paddling experience.
Overall Review
I would rate my review of the Alumacraft CO-17 Camper canoe as 3 out of 5. I enjoyed this canoe very much, and look forward to reviewing more canoes from Alumacraft.
During my review, I found the Alumacraft CO-17 Camper canoe to be surprisingly comfortable. I’m not a huge fan of powered personal watercraft, but they meshed the motor into this canoe’s design very nicely. I don’t quite consider anything with a motor a canoe, but for teetering on the edge, Alumacraft has done a wonderful job with the CO-17 Camper canoe. The only downfall is the overall width of the canoe. It’s so wide that you can experience stability problems when paddling rather than motoring.

Alumacraft sucks. That’s all there is to it. I bought one of these canoes and the thing literally sprung a leak. What the hell? I contacted the company and they said it was “user error.” That’s just wrong. No refund. Nothing. Don’t use Alumacraft.
