Fast, convenient and stable, the Argon fulfills and exceeds the needs of paddlers looking for a kayak that will enable them to progress. The Argon kayak offers added stability, as well as a practical length and tapered hull for great tracking and easy fishing. The large cockpit and tilt adjustable seatback provide great comfort, and access to the front storage and another large dry storage compartment with a bulkhead in the back is made possible through two large hatch covers. The Azul Argon expands what’s possible by being faster and able to carry more gear and still able to catch those fish!
Pros
An excellent fishing kayak, the Azul Argon kayak will exceed your expectations and leave cash in your wallet for more kayak and fishing gear. The Azul Argon kayak features plenty of storage capacity to ensure an enjoyable kayak fishing experience. Coupled with great maneuverability and stability, the Azul Argon kayak performs well as a recreational kayak for even the non-fisherman to enjoy.
Cons
I was a little bit disappointed by the hatch covers on the Azul Argon kayak. After only a few hours of paddling in fairly flat water, the hatch had more water in it than I deem acceptable. Of course, everything you bring with you should be in a dry bag, but it’s nice when you don’t’ have a sopping wet bag to deal with.
Overall Review
I would rate my review of the Azul Argon kayak as 3.5 out of 5. While the Azul Argon kayak performs very well as both a recreational and a fishing kayak, the poor quality of the hatch covers really left a bad taste in my mouth. Don’t get me wrong; I was surprised. Azul is normally a very thorough and reputable company that follows exacting methods and craftsmanship. This occurrence is not common from Azul Kayak or Riot Kayak.
